3 Steps to Healthy Skin

Maintaining beautiful skin is not just about lotions and creams. Healthy skin is ultimately a sign of good health. The key to glowing skin lies in the choices we make every day.
Step one: to get clear, youthful skin, it’s important follow a nutrition plan rich in vitamins and minerals. Consuming fruits and vegetables on a daily basis provides us with the vitamins and minerals necessary to maintain the elasticity and moisture vital for healthy skin. Among the most important vitamins are:
Vitamin E: Found in green leafy vegetables like spinach and kale, fish, eggs, nuts and milk products.
Vitamin C: Helps heal scars. Found in citric fruits like oranges, limes, and tangerines.
Vitamin A: Helps heal cuts, and a lack of it can lead to skin problems. Found in carrots, and in red fruits and vegetables like red cabbage and beets.
Step two: stay hydrated. That means drink plenty of water every day. While the rule of thumb is 8 glasses, you don’t have to literally drink 8 glasses to keep your skin hydrated. You can find your water sources in fruits and vegetables. Also soft drinks are not considered substitutes for water due to the high amounts of sugar found in them.
Step three: exercise. Regular exercise has been found to not only boost your immune system, but also improve circulation. Exercise can also help you sleep more soundly and sleep is the ultimate beauty pill.
Great skin is possible and inexpensive if you eat well, drink plenty of water and exercise.
