Eating Beautifully

When we speak of beauty products, we think of sophisticated packaging and upscale beauty shops; not about your local grocery store. Nevertheless, that is exactly where healthy skin and beautiful hair begin.
Even if we can’t follow an elaborate nutrition plan, certain fruits and vegetables have such beneficial nutrients that just adding those to our diets can have significant visible effects.
The first fruit is carrots. Not in excess but only two glasses of carrot juice a week can provide you with a great dose of Vitamin A, vital for tissue growth and repair. All blue fruits, especially blueberries, contain antioxidants that make them great allies against aging. Olive oil and legumes help in the fight against wrinkles. And the Vitamin C in all citrus fruits stimulates collagen production.
Don’t forget that the sun that makes all these fruits and vegetables grow, is also beneficial for you in the production of Vitamin C, essential for the absorption of calcium and the improvement of psoriasis. Only fifteen minutes a day outdoors, outside of the most intense sunlight hours, is all you need.
And you can get that on a walk to your local produce section: where the beauty products are edible.
