How to Grow an Inch in a Month

Most people have terrible posture. We tend to hunch our shoulders forward and by doing so we are predisposing our bodies to aches and poor alignment.

Posture is the position in which you hold your body upright against gravity while standing, while sitting or laying down. Keeping and maintaining good posture involves training our muscles. Here are a few ways to this.

Practice Yoga
Yoga stretches your muscles and forces you to stand straight. Many posture problems derive from sitting in front of a computer all day or driving too much. By adding Yoga to your daily routine not only improves your overall posture by developing your back muscles and building abdominal strength but also centers your mind.

Stretch
Practice stretching every morning after you get out of bed or every evening while watching television. Stretching releases stress and relaxes your muscles. Tight muscles can pull the body out of alignment and make normal every-day activities strained. Stretching also helps elongate the body and proper posture maintains your body’s lines.

Be aware
Whether you are working on the computer, walking your dog or ordering a coffee, try to remember to be aware of your posture. Wear a ring on a finger you normally don’t or a bracelet in the wrong arm, when you look down at it remember that it is there to remind you to stand tall and straight.

Proper posture keeps your body aligned and a body in alignment can do more.
