What Clothes to Wear At The Gym

Choosing the right gym outfit is very important not only for your comfort but for you ability to workout. Here are a few things to keep in mind when choosing the best clothes:

• Comfortable Clothes: Try on new gym clothes before going to the gym. Put them on and walk around your house to make sure there are no stitching or loose threads that bother you, or that the fabric doesn’t irritate your skin, bunch up, or move around when you move around. Choose shorts, t-shirts, and pants that are not too loose and not too tight, and made of absorbent material.

• Good Shoes: Choose closed and comfortable shoes. As with clothes, try them on at home before using them at the gym. Always tie them properly and avoid loose ends, or choose shoes with Velcro closings, to be safe on exercise machines.

• Good Socks: Spend some time finding the right pair of socks. If the fabric is too thin or delicate, they may cause your feet to sweat too much, be uncomfortable and even cause blisters.

• Your Activities: Some activities require clothes that are loose (like Yoga) or tight (like Pilates). Never wear workout clothes that are too tight and don’t allow you to move with ease.
Choose clothes you feel good in and remember that sometimes style matters more than comfort but at the gym, it should always be about comfort.
